Carglass Italy’s website is an online booking system for vehicle glass repair and replacement giving you total support, convenience and peace of mind in the event of an accident, whatever piece of glass is damaged on your vehicle and across all regions in Italy.

The Challenge

Because of our extensive automotive industry expertise, we were approach by Carglass Italy to help them build a new search-optimised online booking solution that will also offer its customers more options including Insurance cover to get the right price estimate in minutes.

Our Approach

We wanted to create an easily accessible solution that would support drivers in their moment of need and that would deliver the same quality of service you would expect over the phone or in-person. As we specialise in building such systems, we had the pride to connect the new online business with the CGIT’s existing manual booking system in order to centralise all appointments in one place and reduce overheads. With the new platform, users are asked to enter their registration number to identify the exact make and model of their vehicle to then book an appointment with their postcode. We chose a simple-to-navigate and easy-to-digest format for the new layout so that users can effortlessly make a claim and quickly find local help. The website is also fully responsive to ensure that it delivers first class user experience no matter which device customers are using.

Search Engine Friendly

We ensured that the new booking application was built with key aspects in mind such as traffic and conversion with the aim of boosting enquiries for Carglass Italy. For this project, the overall structure of the website and the keywords located in the design architecture were closely studied from titles and headers to load times and URLs.


Since the website redesign, online bookings have increased month on month. Customers can select real time appointments and Carglass Italy can book jobs directly in their Back Office, reducing call backs to customers. Our solution also gave Carglass Italy a range of branch management options to control all the branch data such as opening times and location, all using the TYPO3 Open Source CMS.
